The Headshot & Portrait Photography class this last Saturday was a huge success! The model, Lauren Marie was absolutely amazing to work with (as always). The students in attendance benefited from a great experience and learned what it took to use the available light around them and how to work with a model. More importantly they learned how to direct their subject and come up with creative ideas to use their surroundings to take great photos that POP! Although the rain forced us to move the class inside, we were still able to improvise and have a great class. To view all of the photos uploaded by the students click here or view some of the below. This week has been a great week for The Right Light Photography. Today we received official notice that we are an approved member of the Professional Photographers of America. This is the largest and most prestigious association in the photography industry. It is a great honor to be associated with the PPA and we look to learn from other members and pass on the benefits to our clients. This weekend was a huge success for the Night Photography Class. Jason Kirby taught another San Diego Photography Class at Oceanside Photo & Telescope. We had 13 attendees and covered the various different scenarios associated with night and low light photography. The first 1 hour and half was a lecture from the PowerPoint below providing background information and recommendations for night and low light photography. The remainder of the class was taught out at the Oceanside pier on what turned out to be an amazing night to take photos. We were able to take some dusk shots and even some fun long exposure shots. To view the presentation from the class and to get an idea on recommended settings for various scenarios please look below. Night Photography Class View more presentations from Jason Kirby.
