Do you still have that drunken/embarrassing picture of you up on your Facebook? Do you have picture with a group of people? Can people visiting your facebook, linkedin, and other social media profiles distinguish who you really are in your profile pic?

The reason I bring up this question is because having a professional photo that represents who you are is more important than you can imagine. With the increase of employers, significant others, acquaintances, and many more going to social media sites to do research on who you are it is imperative to have a professional image representing you. It is your first impression. Now it does not have to be a corporate like or school posed shot because that might not represent who you are, but none the less, a professional image makes people want to engage with you in a positive way. It is also a huge plus for potential employers to see to because it shows you care about how you represent yourself.

Yesterday was the Fifth Annual PB Pub Crawl and from the amount of people that came wearing their "Classy" yellow T-Shirts it was a huge success. I had volunteered to be the photographer to help promote the event and it was for a good cause. The event was perfect display of the younger generation supporting a good cause while having a good time in Pacific Beach. My hat goes off to Heather Gibson and the rest of the StayClassy.org crew for putting on a spectacular event and getting so many people to attend and support StayClassy.org's 5 year anniversary.
If you had attended the event and want to check out your photos you can view them on our Fan Page here. Facebook.com/SanDiegoPhotography

On Tuesday The Right Light Photography was hired as the main event photographer for Eli Lilly and Company, one of the largest pharmaceutical companies in the world. It was an absolute honor to be their photographer for their South and Southwest Conference of 2010 at the Sheraton on the marina here in San Diego. \

The event started off like most conferences or conventions with h'orderves  and drinks. With people snacking in the background it was my job to photograph all 16 sales teams in a one hour time period. Each team consisted of 10-15 people and it was on me to organize them in a symmetrical manner and get them all to smile and not blink for each photo. Each team was allotted 2-3 photos as time was of the essence. Once the team photos were done it was time for dinner to began and the award ceremony to follow.

The award ceremony was extremely difficult to photograph and I am sure many San Diego Photographers have dealt with similar problems. Being too close with a zoom lens was a tough one when having to switch back and forth between lenses for single and group shots. However, the job got done and was everything turned out great.

I want to thank the Eli Lilly team for being wonderful hosts and putting on an electrifying event that all attendees really seemed to have enjoyed.
